Loehn Digital developed a custom website for KOCO MOTION, built on WordPress Full Site Editing. The challenge of this project was the direct integration with the company’s own product database and a product catalog with technical data sheets.
The platform translates the technical portfolio of the drive specialist into a clear, sales-driven online presence, connecting web development, product data and online marketing into a single system.
Starting point: Complex drive technology needs a clear digital stage
KOCO MOTION is a system house for electric drives and motion control solutions — a portfolio that requires explanation, with dozens of motor types, technical specifications and custom adaptations. The challenge: The existing website did not reflect this depth. Prospects found it difficult to find the right drive, technical details were scattered, and product data had to be maintained manually in two systems — the MariaDB database and the website.
The new KOCO MOTION website was not meant to hide this complexity, but to make it manageable: visitors need to find the right motor quickly, access technical data reliably and submit targeted inquiries.
Custom FSE Theme from Scratch
Solution: Custom FSE Theme, MariaDB Plugin and Product Catalog
Loehn Digital developed a fully custom theme based on WordPress Full Site Editing (FSE) — from scratch, without a page builder. This provided full control over every element from the header to the product page and allowed the KOCO MOTION brand to be implemented consistently. The process started with wireframes and a two-day workshop in which target audiences, markets and goals were refined together with the KOCO team.
MariaDB Product Database Integration
The technical core is the integration with the company’s own MariaDB product database. Instead of maintaining content manually, a custom plugin was developed that automatically fetches technical specifications, images and prices from the database and displays them in the right places on the website. This saves significant time in day-to-day operations, avoids transfer errors and keeps the website always up to date with the data source. The interface is designed to be flexible and scalable, so future changes to the product portfolio can grow with it.
Requirements Questionnaire
A 4-step technical form (General → Mechanical → Electrical → Commercial & Contact) functions as a product configurator and lead form. Customers specify motor type, torque, speed, voltage and dimensions — the sales team receives structured project requirements instead of vague inquiries.
PDF Family Generator
On every product detail page, visitors can generate a bundled PDF with the technical data sheets of all variants of a product family.
